What's the purpose of the tribulation?
By Pieter Kirstein
HUMBLE YOURSELF AND THANK GOD FOR UNVEILING HIS APOSTOLIC,
PROPHETIC BLUEPRINTS BY THE SPIRIT OF PROPHECY.
Understand God's TRIBULATION purpose and stop ignoring what's already been declared in the prophets, for it shall not be according to man's word, but
according to the Father's well established plan.
The Spirit of God shall come to clear the threshing floors of His harvest fields and threshing floors - John 3:12 Whose fan is in His hand,
and He will thoroughly purge His floor, and gather His wheat into the barn; but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.
Matthew 13:37 He answered and said unto them, He that sows the good seed is the Son of man;
38 The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;
39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the age; and
the reapers are the angels.
40 As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this age.
41 The Son of man shall send forth His angels, and they shall
gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;
42 And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
43 Then shall the righteous
shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who has ears to hear, let him hear.
WE ARE CALLED TO SHINE!
TRIBULATION
By Richard C. Trench
Richard C. Trench on the Meaning of "Tribulation"
"Let me illustrate my meaning somewhat more at length by the word 'tribulation.' We all know in a general way that this word, which occurs
not seldom in Scripture and in the Liturgy, means affliction, sorrow, anguish; but it is quite worth our while to know how it means this, and to question the word a little closer.
It is derived from the
Latin 'tribulum,' which was the threshing instrument, or roller, whereby the Roman husbandmen separated the corn from the husks; and 'tribulatio' in its primary signification was the act of this separation.
But
some Latin writer of the Christian Church appropriated the word and image for the setting forth of a higher truth; and sorrow, distress, and adversity being the appointed means for the separating in men of whatever in them was light, trivial, and poor from
the solid and the true, their chaff from their wheat, therefore he called these sorrows and trials 'tribulations,' threshings, that is, of the inner spiritual man, without which there could be no fitting him for the heavenly garner.
tribulum: An ancient Roman sledge for threshing; a broad, heavy board set with many teeth of stone or iron. The tribulum is still in use in northern Africa.
Now consider in verse 13 how
He calls His Zion Bride to arise and to thresh.
Micah 4:
1 But in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of the LORD shall be established on
the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow unto it.
2 And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, and to the house of
the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth out of Zion, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.
3 And He shall judge between many peoples, and
rebuke strong nations afar off; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up a sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.
4 But
they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree; and none shall make them afraid: for the mouth of the LORD of hosts has spoken it.
5 For all people will walk every one in the name of his god, and
we will walk in the name of the LORD our God forever and ever.
6 In that day, says the LORD, will I assemble those that are lame, and I will gather those that are driven out, and those that I have afflicted;
7 And I will make them that are lame a remnant, and those that were cast far off a strong nation: and the LORD shall reign over them in mount Zion from that time forth, even forever.
8
And you, O tower of the flock, the stronghold of the daughter of Zion, unto you shall it come, even the former dominion; the kingdom shall come to the daughter of Jerusalem.
9 Now why do you cry out aloud? is there
no king in you? is your counselor perished? for pangs have taken you as a woman in travail.
10 Be in pain, and labor to bring forth, O daughter of Zion, like a woman in travail: for now shall you go forth out of
the city, and you shall dwell in the field, and you shall go even to Babylon; there shall you be delivered; there the LORD shall redeem you from the hand of your enemies.
11 Now also many nations are gathered against
you, that say, Let her be defiled, and let our eye look upon Zion.
12 But they know not the thoughts of the LORD, neither understand they his counsel: for he shall gather them as the sheaves into the floor.
13 Arise and thresh, O daughter of Zion: for I will make your horn iron, and I will make your hoofs bronze: and you shall beat in pieces many people: and I will consecrate their gain unto the LORD, and their
wealth unto the Lord of the whole earth.
You need to read Isaiah 24-27.
This is the entire context of the following prophecies in Malachi.
Malachi 3
1 Behold, I will send My messenger, and He will clear the way before Me. And the LORD, whom you seek, shall suddenly come to His temple, even the Angel of the Covenant, in whom you delight.
Behold, He comes, says the LORD of hosts.
2 But who can endure the day of His coming?
Are we not called to endure in Matthew 24:13 But he who endures to the end, the same shall
be kept safe. And who shall stand when He appears? For He [is] like a refiner's fire, and like fuller's soap.
3 And He shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver. And He shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge
them as gold and silver, that they may be offerers of a food offering in righteousness to the LORD.
4 Then the food offering of Judah and Jerusalem shall be pleasing to the LORD, as in the days of old and as in
former years.
5 And I will come near you to judgment. And I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against false swearers, and against those who extort from the hired laborer's
wages, and turning away the widow, and the orphan, the alien, and not fearing Me, says the LORD of hosts.
6 For I [am] the LORD, [I] change not. Because of this you sons of Jacob are not destroyed.
Now
notice how God's THRESHING OF NATIONS CONTINUES through His manifested sons, who have themselves being purified and purged and cleansed as His Royal Priestly Bride in Malachi 3.
Malachi 4
1
For behold, the day is coming, burning like a fire pot; and all the proud, and every doer of wickedness, shall be chaff. And the coming day will set them ablaze, says the LORD of hosts, which will not leave root or branches to them.
2 But to you who fear My name, the Sun of Righteousness shall arise, and healing will be on His wings. And you shall go out and frisk like calves of the stall.
3 And you shall trample the wicked,
for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day which I [am] preparing, says the LORD of hosts.
4 Remember the law of Moses My servant, which I commanded to him in Horeb for all Israel, the statutes
and judgments.
5 Behold, I [am] sending you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD.
6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers
to the sons, and the heart of the sons to their fathers, that I not come and strike the earth [with] utter destruction.
We are the coming THRESHING kingdom also confirmed by the Spirit of prophecy in Daniel 2: 31 You,
O king, were seeing. And, behold! A great image! That great image, whose brightness was excellent, stood before you. And its form [was] dreadful.
32 This image's head [was] of fine gold; his breast and his arms
[were] of silver; his belly and his thighs [were] of bronze;
33 his legs [were] of iron; his feet [were] part of iron and part of clay.
34 You watched until a stone
was cut out without hands, which struck the image upon its feet [which were] of iron and clay, and broke them to pieces.
35 Then the iron, the clay, the bronze, the silver, and the gold were broken to pieces together.
And they became like the chaff of the summer threshing floors. And the wind carried them away, so that no place was found for them. And the stone that struck the image became a great mountain and filled the
whole earth.
(THIS IS GOD'S KINGDOM)
43 And as you saw iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mix themselves with the seed of men. But they shall not cling to one another, even
as iron is not mixed with clay.
44 And in the days of these kings, the God of Heaven shall set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed. And the kingdom shall not be left to other peoples,
but
it shall crush and destroy all these kingdoms, and it shall stand forever.
45 Because you saw that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it crushes the iron, the bronze, the clay, the silver,
and the gold, the great God has made known to the king what shall occur after this. And the dream is] certain, and its meaning is sure.
The above is the prophetic context of Matthew 24, Luke 17 and Luke 21.
