The Armor of God.
By Pieter Kirstein
Ephesians 6:11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may
be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
17 And take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
The Sword of the Spirit.
Can a soldier fight with any of his weapons unless he is first trained by His officer?
Therefore it's so very important for every person who desires to become a disciple and student of the Lord to plunge
oneself into the depths of Christ who himself is the Word of God.
I love to saturate my mind and heart by fellowshipping with Him through His word, especially listening to entire books and chapters on my audio Bible and there's always new things
and deeper revelations to discover as God loves to unveil himself to those who becomes intimate with Him.
The Holy Spirit gave me the key to receive revelation knowledge from Him which is sacrifice. Sacrifice is the
currency of the Kingdom and i have chosen to sacrifice all the distractions of this world including movies and television.
I choose to do what David says in Psalms 101:3 I will set no wicked thing before my eyes: I
hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me.
I FOUND MY JOY IN THE WORD CHRIST JESUS AND AS WITH MARY MY FAVOURITE PLACE IS TO SPEND MUCH TIME AT HIS FEET AND TO DRINK FROM HIS LIPS, FOR AS GOD POURS
HIMSELF INTO ME, I IN TURN CAN POUR HIM INTO THE HEARTS WHICH HE HAS PREPARED TO LISTEN.
How can we expect the Sword of the Lord to circumcise and cut out from our hearts and minds the corruption and ungodliness of
a sinful world unless we allow His word to saturate and to cleanse our hearts?
The scripture says in James 3 that no man can tame the tongue and in Proverbs the power of life and death is in the tongue but how will
our conversation be pure and how will we learn to speak the right things and how will we learn to war successfully and skillfully with the Word of God unless we allow the WORD HIMSELF to conquer the entirety of our hearts?
Did our Chief in command not declare the following in Luke 6:45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth that which is evil. For out of the abundance
of the heart his mouth speaks.
Psalm 50:23 Whoever offers praise glorifies Me: and to him that orders his conversation aright will I show the salvation of God.
Psalm 19:8 The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing
the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.
Have you ever considered how God speaks to us through the heart of His Word in the middle of the Bible through David who was a man after God's own heart?
Would you like to become a man after God's own heart?
Then please notice and consider David's heart and attitude towards the Word of the Living God.
Jesus himself declares in Hebrews 10:7 Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book, which is the entire Bible, it is written of Me,) to do your will, O God.
1 ALEPH. Blessed [are] the upright in the way, who walk in the law of the LORD.
2 Blessed [are] they who keep His testimonies, and who seek Him with all the heart.
3 They also do no iniquity; they walk in

8 I will keep Your statutes; do not forsake me completely.
9 BETH. With what shall a young man cleanse his way?
By taking heed according to Your word.
10 With all my heart I have sought You; do not let me wander from Your commandments.
11 I have hidden Your word in my heart, so that I might not sin against You.
Blessed [are] You, O LORD; teach me Your statutes.
13 With my lips I have declared all the judgments of Your mouth.

at all times.
21 You have rebuked the proud [who are] cursed, who go astray from Your commandments.
22 Remove cursing and scorn from me; for I have kept Your testimonies.
23 Princes also sat and spoke
against me; [but] Your servant thought on Your statutes.
24 Your testimonies also [are] my delight [and] my advisers.
25 DALETH. My soul clings to the dust; give me life according to Your word.

32 I will run the way of Your commandments, when You shall enlarge my heart.
33 HE. O LORD, teach me the way of Your statutes, and I shall keep it [to] the end.
34 Give me understanding,

36 Bow my heart to Your testimonies, and not to unjust gain.
Turn away my eyes from seeing vanity; in Your way give me life.

Behold, I have longed after Your commandments; in Your righteousness give me life.
41 VAU. Let Your mercies come to me, O LORD, even according to Your salvation, according to Your word.
42 And I shall have something to
answer him who mocks me; for I trust in Your word.
43 And take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth; for I have hoped in Your judgments.
44 And I shall keep Your law continually forever and ever.
And I will always walk in a broad place; for I seek Your commandments.
46 I will speak of Your testimonies also before kings, and will not be ashamed.
47 And I will delight myself in Your commandments, which I have loved.
48 And I will lift up my hands to Your commandments which I have loved; and I will think on Your statutes.
49 ZAYIN. Remember the word to Your servant, on which You have caused me to hope.
50 This [is] my
comfort in my affliction; for Your word has given me life.
51 The proud have utterly scorned me; yet I have not turned aside from Your law.
52 I remembered Your judgments of old, O LORD, and have comforted myself.
53 Horror has taken hold on me because of the wicked who forsake Your law.
54 Your statutes have been my songs in the house of my pilgrimage.
55 I have remembered Your name, O LORD, in the night, and have
kept Your law.
56 This was done to me, because I kept Your commandments.
57 CHETH. [You are] my portion, O LORD; I have said that I would keep Your words.
58 I looked for Your favor with all [my] heart;
be merciful to me according to Your word.
59 I thought on my ways, and turned my feet to Your testimonies.
60 I made haste and did not delay to keep Your commandments.
61 The bands of the wicked have
robbed me; [but] I have not forgotten Your law.
62 At midnight I will rise to give thanks to You because of Your righteous judgments.
63 I [am] a companion of all who fear You, and of those who keep Your commandments.
64 O LORD, the earth is full of Your mercy; teach me Your statutes.
65 TETH. You have dealt well with Your servant, O LORD, according to Your word.
66 Teach me good judgment and knowledge; for I have believed
67 Before I was afflicted I went astray; but now I have kept Your word.
68 You [are] good, and do good; teach me Your statutes.
69 The proud have forged a lie against me; I will keep
Your commandments with all [my] heart.
70 Their heart is without feeling, like fat; [but] I delight in Your law.
71 [It is] good for me that I have been afflicted, so that I might learn Your statutes.
The law of Your mouth [is] better to me than thousands of gold and silver.

80 Let my heart be sound in Your statutes, so that I may not be ashamed.
81 KAPH. My soul faints for Your salvation; I hope
in Your word.
82 My eyes fail for Your word, saying, When will You comfort me?
83 For I am like a wineskin in the smoke; I do not forget Your statutes.
84 How many [are] the days of Your servant? When
will You carry out judgment on my persecutors?
85 The proud have dug pits for me, which [are] not according to Your law.
86 All Your commandments [are] faithful; they persecute me [with] lying; help me.
They had almost finished me on earth; but I did not forsake Your commandments.
88 According to Your loving-kindness give me life; so shall I keep the testimony of Your mouth.
89 LAMED. Forever, O LORD, Your word is settled
in the heavens.
90 Your faithfulness [is] to all generations; You have founded the earth, and it remains.
91 They stand to this day according to Your ordinances; for all [are] Your servants.
Your law [had been] my delight, I should then have perished in my affliction.
93 I will never forget Your commandments; for with them You have given me life.
94 I [am] Yours, save me; for I have sought Your commandments.
95 The wicked have waited for me to destroy me; [but] I will think on Your testimonies.

100 I understand more than the old men, because I keep Your commandments.
101 I have kept my feet from every evil way, so that I might keep Your word.
102 I have not departed from Your judgments; for You
have taught me.
103 How sweet are Your words to my taste! More than honey to my mouth!
104 Through Your commandments I get understanding; therefore I hate every false way.
105 NUN. Your word [is] a lamp
to my feet, and a light to my path.
106 I have sworn, and I raised [it], that I will keep Your righteous judgments.
107 I am afflicted very much; O LORD, give me life according to Your word.
108 I pray
You, take the free-will offerings of my mouth, O LORD, and teach me Your judgments.
109 My life [is] in my hand daily; yet I do not forget Your law.
110 The wicked have laid a snare for me; yet I do not go astray from

121 AYIN. I have done the just and right [thing]; leave me not to those who crush me.
122 Be surety for Your servant for good; let not the proud press me down.
123 My eyes fail for Your salvation, and for

142 Your righteousness [is] an everlasting
righteousness, and Your law [is] the truth.
143 Trouble and anguish have taken hold on me; [yet] Your commandments [are] my delight.
144 The righteousness of Your testimonies [is] everlasting; give me understanding, and
I shall live.

morning and cried; I hoped in Your word.
148 My eyes go before the [night] watches, so that I might think on Your word.
149 Hear my voice according to Your loving-kindness; O LORD, according to Your judgment give me life.
150 They draw near, those who follow after wickedness; they are far from Your law.

175 Let my soul live, and it shall praise You; and let Your judgments help me.
176 I have gone
astray like a lost sheep; seek Your servant; for I do not forget Your commandments.
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
5 And the light shines
in darkness; and the darkness overcame it not.
The Sword of the Spirit is not used to cut each other to pieces nor is it used to intimidate or manipulate for Jesus Christ THE WORD OF GOD is not a legalistic butcher that cuts to kill us but a loving,
gentle, merciful surgeon that cuts to heal us.
He said in John 8:31 If you continue in My word, then are you My disciples indeed;
32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
THERE ARE MANY TODAY THAT ABUSES THE WORD OF GOD TO THEIR OWN DESTRUCTION.
The word of God is a sword and can destroy people if used wrongfully.
We are commanded in 2 Timothy 2:15 Study to show
yourself approved unto God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
It's important to walk humbly when handling the word of God and every child of God should always remember the admonishment
in James 3:
1 My brethren, be not many teachers, knowing that we shall receive the severer judgment.
2 Corinthians 4
1 Therefore seeing we have
this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not;
2 But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to
every man's conscience in the sight of God.
