REFLECTIONS OF THE FATHER'S HEART

By Glenn H. Jackson

[Exhortations From The Father]

When one is diligent in their "confession" [affirmation] of My Word [on an ongoing basis] THEN it is certain that, ultimately, they will begin to "dominate" the circumstances around them - without fail. "confession" - to acknowledge [continually affirm] that the Father and His Word are the supreme authority over our lives with every word we speak and every action we carry out in correspondence with a revelation of the Father's Word/Will;

"affirm" - to state or assert positively; maintain as true; to express agreement with or commitment to; "dominate" - rule over; govern; control; ...."the one who says he abides in Him [Christ] ought himself to walk in the same manner as He walked".... 1 John 2:6 NASB

Spiritual Poverty

By Greg Laurie

LISTEN

“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”

—Matthew 5:3

The Bible doesn’t commend poverty, but neither does it condemn wealth. Rather, the Bible says, “For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. And some people, craving money, have wandered from the true faith and pierced themselves with many sorrows” (1 Timothy 6:10 NLT).

When Jesus said, “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven,” He wasn’t saying, “Happy are the poor.” He wasn’t suggesting that we live in complete poverty to be happy.

Rather, the word Jesus used for “poor” means “to shrink, cower, or cringe,” as first-century beggars did. However, Jesus wasn’t speaking about physical poverty. He said, “Blessed are the poor in spirit” (Matthew 5:3 NLT). In other words, blessed are those who see their spiritual state before God. Before we can come into a relationship with God, we must realize that we are spiritually destitute. We must realize that we are not good.

We do not go to Christ to improve our lives a little; instead, we go to Christ to be saved from Hell and the results of our sins. We cannot save ourselves. We go to God as hopeless, helpless sinners.

The great British preacher Charles Spurgeon said, “The way to rise is to sink self; the lower we fall in our own esteem, the higher shall we rise in our Master’s estimation.”

Regardless of our education, wealth, social standing, accomplishments, or religious knowledge, we must admit that we’re sinners.

C. S. Lewis wrote, “Whenever we find that our religious life is making us feel that we are good—above all, that we are better than someone else—I think we may be sure that we are being acted on, not by God, but by the devil.”

Blessed are the ones who see their real condition before God and acknowledge it.

The Armor of God.

Part 4.

By Pieter Kirstein

Ephesians 6:11  Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

15  And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace.

Isaiah 52:7 How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that brings good tidings, that publishes peace; that brings good tidings of good, that publishes salvation; that says unto Zion, Your God reigns!

We should all make ourselves available to become a mighty weapon and soul winning champion in the kingdom arsenal of God so that we might plunder hell and populate heaven.

Daniel 12:3 And they that are wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars forever and ever.

How many people who call themselves Christians obeys the commandment of the Lord Jesus Christ given in Matthew 28:18  All power is given unto Me in heaven and in earth.

19  Go you therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit:

20  Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.

Amazingly after the Lord Jesus finished His God-given assignment and after He touched, healed, restored and blessed so many lives in His earthly ministry, so much so that John writes in John 21:25 And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written, in Matthew 28 we see only 11 disciples present when Jesus gave the great commission.

Where were all those people that He touched?

Isn't the reason for this that in every generation we find the givers and the takers?

Those who are in this thing called Christianity only because they want to see what they can get from God and the very few that are willing to follow the Master wherever He leads.

The few that are willing to lay down their lives just like Jesus for the benefit of others.

Ask yourself!

Am I truly obeying and following Christ or am I a selfish self - centered Christian?

I only say that I believe in Jesus but by my lifestyle, pursuits and actions I live in rebellion and disobedience against His teachings and instructions?

Don't you realise that faith is useless and dead unless it is accompanied by obedient action?

Smith Wigglesworth said "the book of Acts could not be the book of Acts unless the disciples "ACTED OUT THEIR FAITH”

Faith must have willing feet if we claim to follow Christ.

The Spirit of the Lord showed me that if we claim to be part of His body then obviously we should obey the instructions that comes from Him as the head unless we fail the test.

The Apostle Paul admonished us in 2 Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves, whether you are in the faith; prove your own selves. Know you not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, unless you are counterfeits?

We are all as believers commanded in God's word to rescue the lost in Proverbs 24:11  Deliver those that are drawn toward death, hold back those that are stumbling to the slaughter;

12  If you say, Behold, we knew it not; does not he that weighs the heart consider it? and he that keeps your soul, does not he know it? and shall not he render to every man according to his works?

Proverbs 15:11 Hell and destruction are before the LORD: how much more then the hearts of the children of men?

Satan most definitely hates it when the gospel is proclaimed and preached but how many who claim to be believers and followers of Christ obeys this instruction and commandment given to the entire body of His Son because most are only concerned about themselves.

This is a very saddening reality in the world of Christianity today and indeed it's true what Jesus said in:

Matthew 9:37 The harvest truly is plenteous, but the laborers are few;

38  Pray you therefore the Lord of the harvest, that He will send forth laborers into His harvest.

Jesus said to me that one of the most selfish things that we can do is to keep Him to ourselves and none of us have any excuse not to tell others about the love of God and the salvation plan given through His Son Jesus Christ because God can use and equip anybody. If you don't have the boldness then simply ask Him to make you bold.

Ask and it shall be given!

One of the things that I love about God is that if you don't have it then He'll create it for you for it is written in 1 Corinthians 1:26  For you see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:

 27  But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God has chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;

28  And base things of the world, and things which are despised, has God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nothing things that are:

29  That no flesh should glory in his presence.

Ministry is simply God manifesting himself through you by His Spirit but you must ask Him to use you. Make yourself available and ask Him for opportunities to touch and change the lives of others. We should all be atmosphere shifters, world changers and history makers and we should all live to radically impact eternity.

You cannot live for yourself and call yourself a Christian for Christ gave His people a NEW COMMANDMENT in John 15:12  This is My commandment, That you love one another, as I have loved you.

13  Greater love has no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

Your life was given to you by God as a seed and have you sown yourself into the eternal purposes of the Kingdom or are you withholding the seed of your life?

God said to me that Satan does not have to physically kill you to destroy you as a child of God. All that he had to do is to keep you busy with yourself and by so doing he binds you to yourself. If he can succeed to do this then he can withhold the seed of your life to be sown as a living sacrifice into God's desire and kingdom purpose to impact the life and eternal destinies of others.

If the devil can succeed to keep you ignorant and selfish then he will destroy the eternal harvest of your destiny - THIS IS VERY SERIOUS!

Jesus said in John 15:8  In this is My Father glorified, that you bear much fruit; so shall you be My disciples.

Consider the following shocking truth child of God. Will you stand empty handed before the Lord in the judgment or will He rejoice with you about the lives that changed because you allowed Him to use you?

Remember His words in Matthew 25: 14  For the kingdom of heaven is as a man traveling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods.

15  And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his own ability; and immediately took his journey.

16  Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made five other talents.

17  And likewise he that had received two, he also gained another two.

18  But he that had received one went and dug in the earth, and hid his lord's money.

19  After a long time the lord of those servants came, and settled accounts with them.

20  And so he that had received five talents came and brought five other talents, saying, Lord, you delivered unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more.

21  His lord said unto him, Well done, you good and faithful servant: you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things: enter into the joy of your lord.

22  He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, you delivered unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them.

23  His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things: enter into the joy of your lord.

24  Then he who had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew you that you are a hard man, reaping where you have not sown, and gathering where you have not spread:

25  And I was afraid, and went and hid your talent in the earth: lo, there you have what is yours.

26  His lord answered and said unto him, You wicked and slothful servant, you knew that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not spread:

27  You ought therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received my own with interest.

28  Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him who has ten talents.

29  For unto everyone that has shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that has not shall be taken away even that which he has.

30  And cast the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

31  When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:

32  And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats:

33  And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.

34  Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, you blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

35  For I was hungry, and you gave me food: I was thirsty, and you gave me drink: I was a stranger, and you took me in:

36  Naked, and you clothed me: I was sick, and you visited me: I was in prison, and you came unto me.

37  Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we you hungry, and fed you? or thirsty, and gave you drink?

38  When saw we you a stranger, and took you in? or naked, and clothed you?

39  Or when saw we you sick, or in prison, and came unto you?

40  And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Since you have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, you have done it unto me.

41  Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, you cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

42  For I was hungry, and you gave me no food: I was thirsty, and you gave me no drink:

43  I was a stranger, and you took me not in: naked, and you clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and you visited me not.

44  Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we you hungry, or thirsty or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto you?

45  Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Since you did it not to one of the least of these, you did it not to me.

46  And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.

this is so beautiful and such a testimony to the Lord's healing power and sanctification through our suffering. Much of my walk with Christ is similar to yours.
