SHOCK AND AWE

By Deborah Waldron Fry

I heard in my spirit the term, “Shock and Awe”…

Definition: (technically known as rapid dominance) is a military tactic based on the use of overwhelming power and spectacular displays of force to paralyze the enemy’s perception of the battlefield and destroy their will to fight.

And I saw in a vision a great army. All the warriors were wearing armor from head to foot with their swords at their sides and their banners flying over their heads. It was a vast army and they were all standing at attention. It is very quiet. All you can hear is the Wind blowing. They were waiting for the King’s Command.

They were listening for the sound of the Trumpet, the Clarion Call. In the distance was a Glorious amber colored sky like the Sun shining in all its strength. This army is the Body of Christ. And with you is an Army of Mighty Angels. The LORD of Hosts is your Commander. Do not faint from fear. Do not panic at the bad reports you hear.

We are not fighting flesh and blood but principalities and powers and rulers of the darkness of this world and spiritual wickedness in high places. The only truth that will stand is God’s Truth. His justice shall prevail in the end. Hear what the Spirit is saying to His church.

“Beloved. Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God’s. It is time for “shock and awe” upon the powers of darkness!”

“You are no longer a slave to fear. You are a Child of God; a warrior in the King’s Army. Fear not, stand still, and see the salvation of The LORD, which He will show to you to day. Today is the day of Salvation. Be still and know that I AM God. I AM that I AM.

"If your God be for you, who can come against you? Listen, a tumult on the mountains, like that of a great multitude! Listen, an uproar among the kingdoms, like nations gathered together!

"The LORD of Hosts is mobilizing an Army for war. This war is like no other before it. But the end has already been decided, Dear One. The Victory has already been won. Stand still and see the salvation of your God.

"My Mighty Angels are with you. They never lose a battle. They fight for you in the Heavens. There are MANY more for you than against you.

"Follow the Holy Spirit. Do not move without His direction, My Warrior. Stay in peace. Your feet are shod with the gospel of Shalom. Wait for My Word.

"Let not your heart be troubled. I have raised you up for this very purpose, that I might display My Power to you, and that My name might be proclaimed in all the earth.

I will show the holiness of My great Name, which has been profaned among the nations. Then the nations will know that I AM the LORD,  when I show My Holiness IN YOU before their eyes.

"Listen for your King’s Footsteps upon the Mountain. Behold, I AM coming soon and My reward is with Me. Position yourselves, stand still and see the salvation of The LORD.

"Hold your position and do not faint. Dominion and Awe belong to Me. Stand and watch expectantly, Beloved. Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but your God’s.

"It is time for “shock and awe” upon the powers of darkness!”

Stop Worrying and Start Praying

By Greg Laurie

LISTEN

“So, don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.”

—Matthew 6:34

Worry can ruin your day. It can ruin your week. It can ruin your month. Actually, worry can ruin your life.

The root word of “worry” means “to choke” or “to strangle.” When my grandkids were much younger, they liked to come up and choke me from behind. They thought it was cute and fun, and it was okay because they were small. They weren’t hurting me. Worry, however, does hurt us. It chokes us out. That’s why we need to stop worrying and start praying.

I realize that we all have things in life to worry about, but I’m reminded of the words of the apostle Paul: “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:6–7 NLT).

When you worry about the future, you cripple yourself in the present. Worry does not empty tomorrow of its sorrow; it empties today of its strength. Even when things are going well, we start worrying that something is going to go wrong, don’t we? Jesus said, “So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today” (Matthew 6:34 NLT).

Turning worry into prayer is a conditioned reflex. It’s something that we learn how to do. In contrast, a natural reflex is something that we automatically do. For example, if you accidentally touch something hot, you immediately pull your hand back. That’s a natural reflex. No one has to teach you to do that.

We need to develop the conditioned reflex of turning worry into prayer. When worry creeps in, when panic hits, stop and pray right away. Remember, God is in control of your life. As Christians, we don’t believe in fate; we believe in faith.

this is so beautiful and such a testimony to the Lord's healing power and sanctification through our suffering. Much of my walk with Christ is similar to yours.
